Licensed Practical Nurse LPN - Emergency Services
About The Position
This full-time Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) position is in the Emergency Department at St. Francis Hospital in Evanston, Illinois. The role involves 3-12 hour day shifts (7a-7p), including rotating holidays and weekends. The LPN provides direct and indirect patient care services, utilizing technical and manual skills within their scope of practice, to address the psychosocial, physical, and general care aspects, as well as the communication needs of patients and their families. The LPN operates under the direction and supervision of a Registered Nurse and is expected to demonstrate knowledge of EMTALA Regulations and the triage process in the ER setting.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) required
- IV certification and Blood Withdrawal (BW) certification within 90 days of hire date
- Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current
