About The Position

This full-time Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) position is in the Emergency Department at St. Francis Hospital in Evanston, Illinois. The schedule involves 3-12 hour day shifts (7a-7p) with rotating holidays and weekends. The role provides direct and indirect patient care services, utilizing technical and manual skills within the scope of practice to address psychosocial, physical, and general aspects of patient care, as well as communication needs of patients and families. The LPN/LVN performs duties under the direction and supervision of a Registered Nurse and is expected to demonstrate knowledge of EMTALA Regulations and the triage process in the ER setting.

Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent required
Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) required
IV certification and Blood Withdrawal (BW) certification within 90 days of hire date
Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current

Work experience in health care preferred
