Requirements

  • Graduate of an LPN program
  • Current LPN to practice in the state of Tennessee
  • BCLS (Health Care Provider)
  • For Occupational Medicine Specific Only- BCLS Trainer and Specimen Collection required
  • 6 years clinical experience
  • Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgement and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.

Responsibilities

  • Collects and documents patient intake data.
  • Maintains accurate and complete patient records
  • Provides patient support that reflects considerations for emotional, physical, social, cultural, religious and economic influences.
  • Assists with routine clinic support activities.
  • Works as an advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient.
  • Maintains appropriate, safe and therapeutic environment per clinic policy.
  • Coordinates nursing staff to facilitate accessibility and continuity of care.
  • Coordinates requests of physicians and office staff in regard to patient activities and needs.
  • Athena Super User role
  • Assist with Quality Controls of all Point of Care testing
  • Provide support for staffing when management is unavailable
  • Decision recommendations for staffing overtime and low census to be communicated to manager for final approvals.
