The LPN is responsible for the delivery of patient care in the Emergency Department through the nursing process of interview, assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation, and triage. The Emergency Department (ED) is a 22-bed unit within a trauma III hospital setting, characterized by a culture of teamwork and effective communication, essential for optimal patient care.

Requirements

  • Current Arizona or compact state LPN/LVN license
  • Completion of a Practical Nursing Program from an accredited nursing school
  • Associate’s Degree in Nursing
  • Must obtain BLS/CPR within 30 days of hire

Nice To Haves

  • 1 to 2 years of experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Deliver patient care in the Emergency Department through the nursing process of interview, assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation, and triage
  • Assist patients with performing activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation
  • Monitor, document, and communicate patient's status and reactions to interventions with RN, physician, patient, and families
  • Work as an advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient
  • Provide emergency care under the supervision of a professional Nurse (RN) as guided by CVMC policy and ENA guidelines
