About The Position

As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) joining the team, you will contribute to making communities healthier. The LPN is responsible for patient care delivery in the Emergency Department through the nursing process of interview, assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation, and triage. The Emergency Department (ED) is a 22-bed unit operating within a trauma III hospital setting, emphasizing teamwork and effective communication for optimal patient attention and support.

Requirements

  • Current Arizona or compact state LPN license
  • Completion of a Practical Nursing Program from an accredited nursing school
  • Associate’s Degree in Nursing required
  • Must have an active Arizona or Compact LPN/LVN License
  • Must obtain BLS/CPR within 30 days of hire

Nice To Haves

  • 1 to 2 years of experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for delivery of patient care in the Emergency Department through the nursing process of interview, assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation and triage.
  • Assists patients with performing activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
  • Monitors, documents, and communicates patient's status and reactions to interventions with RN, physician, patient, and families.
  • Works as an advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient.
  • Provide emergency care as guided by the CVMC policy and ENA guidelines, under the supervision of a professional Nurse (RN).
