About The Position

The Nurse Aide is responsible and accountable for providing supportive care under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse. The Nurse Aide will carry out specific tasks and procedures as designated by the Registered Nurse in accordance with hospital policy and established job functions. He/she will cooperate with nursing staff in meeting needs and/or wants of patients by performing tasks for which the employee has been prepared. The University of Vermont Health Network/Porter Medical Center is located in the heart of beautiful Middlebury, Vermont. We are comprised of a 25-bed acute care facility, a 98-bed skilled nursing facility which includes a memory care unit, short-term rehabilitation unit and a long-term care unit, and a network of primary care and specialty medical practices throughout Addison county and the town of Brandon.

Requirements

  • High School graduate or equivalent.
  • Completion of a Licensed Nursing Assistant Training Program or equivalent experience.
  • Current licensure as a Licensed Nursing Assistant in the State of Vermont – unrestricted.
