About The Position

SynTerra is seeking an experienced Mining or Civil Engineer to bring technical expertise and innovative solutions to our clients. This role requires a balance of independent project work, client collaboration, and teamwork with fellow engineering and environmental professionals. The ideal candidate has 5+ years of engineering experience, strong communication skills, and the ability to thrive in both office and field settings.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mining (or Civil) Engineering preferred, other engineering fields considered. Most clients served from this office are in the Mining Industry.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to travel overnight occasionally.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in environmental consulting is a plus.
  • Knowledge of CAD, and/or GIS programs a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct engineering analyses, develop designs, and support preparation of construction drawings.
  • Manage and execute multiple tasks across various projects.
  • Participate in field work and occasional travel to client sites.
  • Document and follow through on professional commitments, coordinate meetings, and manage project schedules.
  • Leverage advanced office software to create, edit, and deliver professional documents and presentations.
  • Interpret site data, construction plans, historical references, and investigations to deliver accurate project documentation.
  • Communicate effectively with team members, clients, subcontractors, and regulatory representatives.
