About The Position

"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking a compassionate and clinically skilled Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) to support a Child & Adolescent Psychiatry service within a hospital-based setting. This role is well-suited for a social worker with a strong interest in pediatric mental health who excels in a fast-paced, interdisciplinary environment. The LMSW will provide essential psychosocial support, crisis intervention, and discharge planning for children and adolescents experiencing acute psychiatric needs.

Requirements

• Master’s Degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited institution.
• Active and unrestricted LMSW license issued by NYSED (required).
• Minimum of 1 year of professional LMSW experience
• Prior experience working with children and adolescents (required)
• Proficiency with electronic medical records and virtual communication platforms (e.g., WebEx, phone-based meetings).

Nice To Haves

• Hospital or acute care experience strongly preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide direct social work services to pediatric and adolescent patients within the psychiatry department.
• Conduct comprehensive psychosocial assessments and actively participate in multidisciplinary treatment planning.
• Lead and support discharge planning efforts, collaborating with families, schools, and community-based resources.
• Deliver trauma-informed, patient-centered care while advocating for appropriate services and supports.
• Complete accurate, timely clinical documentation in compliance with hospital policies and New York State regulations.
