About The Position
Skillforce is currently seeking a Licensed Master Electrician for an ongoing commercial construction project in Louisville, KY. This is a long-term opportunity for a highly skilled professional who can oversee electrical work, ensure code compliance, and lead crews effectively on a fast-paced job site.
Requirements
- Active Master Electrician license (state of Kentucky)
- Strong background in commercial electrical construction
- Proven leadership experience on job sites
- In-depth knowledge of NEC codes and safety standards
- Ability to work independently and manage crews effectively
- Must have reliable transportation and necessary tools
- Ability to work overtime as needed
Responsibilities
- Oversee and perform installation, maintenance, and repair of commercial electrical systems
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and electrical drawings
- Run conduit (EMT, rigid), pull wire, and terminate devices
- Install panels, switchgear, and lighting systems
- Ensure all work is completed in compliance with NEC codes and job site standards
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex electrical issues
- Supervise and support journeyman and apprentice electricians
- Coordinate with project managers, inspectors, and other trades
