What you will do: The Massage Therapist is an important member of our health care team, serving Hospice patients in Home Care, Nursing Home or Inpatient settings

Requirements

• A current license to practice as a Massage Therapist in the state of New York
• Graduate of an approved Massage Therapy Program
• 1 year professional experience in massage therapy discipline required.
• Possession of a valid/clean New York State driver’s license and available automobile for travel throughout the service area.
• Experience working with computers, including laptops, email, cell phone and basic software programs along with confidence in providing electronic clinical notes and documentation regarding patient sessions.
• Availability to complete computer-based mandatory education requirements through the course of the year
• High level of interpersonal skills to establish and maintain relationships with patients, families, physicians, and coworkers
• Strong administrative and organizational skills to coordinate your own schedule
• Must be able to work independently

Nice To Haves

• 2 years experience preferred.
• Previous home care and hospice experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for direct care and evaluation of patients, with resultant formulation and implementation of treatment program as appropriate to the specific needs of that patient.
• Responsible for calling patients/caregivers to offer and schedule services
• Flexible Schedule
• This position will be per diem and estimated at 10-15 hours a week.
