About The Position

About the Role: As an Inventory Specialist, you will be responsible for managing Alto Pharmacy’s inventory at a pharmacy location, ensuring that medications are properly stocked, tracked, audited, and replenished. You will work closely with the pharmacy team to maintain optimal inventory levels and ensure smooth pharmacy operations. Job Description Accelerate your career as you: Spend more than 90% of your time offering personalized, direct support to patients, primarily addressing pharmacy-related needs by phone and email messaging. Identify, address, and resolve pharmacy-related inquiries and challenges Engage with other teams to support patient needs and improve the overall experience. Demonstrate empathy in all patient interactions, effectively handling escalations, providing resolutions, and ensuring overall satisfaction. Provide feedback on common issues or workflow improvements from patient interactions, while consistently following predefined workflows to fulfill pharmacy needs within standard timeframes and processes.

Requirements

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Licensure: An active pharmacy technician license in good standing with the Board of Pharmacy of the state where you are applying, free of any disciplinary actions.
  • Industry Experience: 2+ years experience working in a high volume pharmacy working with patients and providers.
  • Ability to work the following shift: [insert shift here before posting].
  • Onsite Requirement: Must be able to commute to and work at the pharmacy location during scheduled shifts, if this position is hybrid or onsite.
  • Ability to learn and operate a new pharmacy management system and other relevant programs.
  • Ability to interpret, transcribe, and troubleshoot prescription information.
  • Ability to perform common math calculations.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with patients and providers on the phone.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with specialty claims adjudication.
  • Experience submitting and managing Prior Authorizations and TAR's.
  • Experience with Fertility and Specialty medications.
