Provides and coordinates direct care to pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients in the Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU) and Surgical Intensive Care Unit (SICU) utilizing the nursing process. Is responsible for appropriately managing care of assigned patients who present with a life-threatening illness and/or disease. Demonstrates professional growth and development.   • Provides and coordinates direct care to pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients in the Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU) and Surgical Intensive Care Unit (SICU) utilizing the nursing process.
  • Responsible for appropriately managing care of assigned patients who present with a life-threatening illness and/or disease.
  • Demonstrates professional growth and development.
  • Demonstrates a commitment to service, Hamilton's mission, values, and professionalism.
  • Associate degree in Nursing from an accredited nursing program as evidenced by primary source of verification.
  • Current Georgia RN or a multi-state license meeting eNLC criteria professional licensure or will obtain prior to beginning work as a RN.
  • BLS required.
  • Previous experience required.
  • Minimum of 2 years experience as an RN.
  • Nursing skills as defined in the Law Governing the Practice of Nursing in Georgia.
  • Proficient in special skills as demonstrated through completion of critical care skills check-off.
  • BSN or MSN preferred.
  • ACLS preferred.
  • CCRN preferred
  • Critical Care Course/Internship preferred.
