About The Position

Greater Cincinnati Behavioral Health Services (GCBHS) has immediate openings for Licensed Intake Clinicians to support individuals experiencing severe mental illness and substance use disorder in our outpatient behavioral health clinic in Cincinnati and Amelia, Ohio. The ideal candidate will hold an Ohio LSW, LISW, LPC, or LPCC and have experience working with individuals receiving behavioral health and substance use disorder treatment. This position is an excellent opportunity for clinicians seeking meaningful clinical experience and support toward independent licensure. MSW or MA-level clinicians with an active SWT or CT license will also be considered, with the expectation of obtaining LSW or LPC licensure at the completion of the trainee period. Requirements

  • Ohio SWT or CT license required (must be eligible to pass the LSW or LPC exam at the completion of the trainee license)
  • Ohio LSW or LPC preferred
  • Pay differential available for LISW or LPCC
  • Experience working with individuals receiving behavioral health and/or substance use disorder treatment

Responsibilities

  • Provides intake and diagnostic assessments for individuals with severe mental illness and substance use disorder
  • Conducts clinical evaluations, gathers diagnostic information, and assesses overall functioning
  • Develops individualized, medically necessary treatment recommendations
  • Collaborates with interdisciplinary team members for intake coordination, crisis management, and treatment planning
  • Delivers services in alignment with best practices, ethical standards, and professional boundaries
