About The Position

We are the largest private provider of residential and community-based services for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) in the state of Kentucky. We are a local non-profit organization founded in 1970 by Louisville-area parents of people with IDD. Requirements

• Graduation from Cosmetology School.
• Valid state Cosmetology License required for each procedure performed.
• At least one year of experience required.
• Must bring own supplies and equipment
• Must be 18 years or older
• employees must be vaccinated or have an approved medical or religious exemption prior to employment

Responsibilities

• Consult with DSP staff and individuals as appropriate for plan of care
• Inform leadership of any issues that may pose a risk to the health, safety, and wellbeing of individuals
• Cut, trim, and shape hair based on preferences, hair type, and facial features
• Clean and sanitize tools such as scissors, combs, and other applicable tools
• Provide excellent service and care to our individuals
