About The Position

Prizm Electrical Solutions, Inc. is hiring a Licensed Electrical Journeyman to join our team in Denver, CO. This position can independently work lighting, power, and control systems within commercial and industrial facilities. They understand, interpret, and implement NFPA70 NEC and will work in multiple states. Requirements

  • Valid state license that permits you to practice as a journeyman electrician
  • Excellent critical thinking skills
  • Observant and thorough
  • An active listener with top-notch verbal and written communication skills
  • Physically fit and capable of carrying up to 50 pounds.
  • Frequently work on manlifts, ladders and scaffolds.
  • Working environment varies, depending on the type of job. Including, but not limited to natural ambient conditions, confined areas, ditches, or other uncomfortable places.
  • Operates construction equipment, including, forklifts, backhoes, and cargo trucks.
  • Work weeks are typically 40 hours with project specific overtime, as needed.
  • Project specific travel may be required.
  • Driver's License (Required)
  • Valid state license that permits you to practice as a journeyman electrician

Responsibilities

  • Interprets technical drawings and schematics, specifications, and submittals to determine layout of electrical systems
  • Leads compliance with OSHA and other applicable standards
  • Follows direction from Project Leadership
  • Ensures high quality installations of all electrical equipment and components
  • Installs and repairs wiring, electrical fixtures, power equipment, and components of machinery and equipment following NEC
  • Operates a variety of hand tools including core drill, hammer drill, drill motors, KO sets, conduit benders, and conduit threaders
  • Perform underground and overhead electrical installations
  • Diagnoses and troubleshoots wiring and components
  • Assists with crew productivity
  • Facilitates order of needed electrical components
  • Inspect tasks upon completion and ensure areas are clean
  • Electricians risk injury from electrical shock, falls, and cuts; to avoid injuries, they must follow strict safety procedures.
