ECU Health Physicians is multi-specialty group with over 600 providers in more than 140 primary and specialty clinics across more than 110 locations in eastern North Carolina. The Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Medicine seeks a Licensed Clinical Social Work Practitioner with experience to work in its Psychiatric Outpatient Clinic. Duties include, but are not limited to, the following: provide individual, family, and group psychotherapy, evaluation and assessment of patients' mental status, behavioral and social circumstances, family dynamics and resources, biopsychosocial formulation and DSM diagnosis; emergency treatment, early appointment or routine appointment; perform routine crisis intervention for immediate emergency or walk-in patients. Make referrals to other treatment programs when clinically appropriate. Assess psychosocial functioning. The position has the ability to participate in the teaching and clinical supervision of medical students, psychiatry residents, and other health professional trainees. This position will work closely with the Addiction Medicine providers in providing clinical counseling services and addiction treatment.
