Based in Lithonia, Georgia, services are available across several counties including Clayton, Cobb, Dekalb, Douglas, Fayette, Fulton, Gwinnett, Henry, Jackson, and Rockdale. Gail's Homecare values its employees as much as its clients and is currently seeking a compassionate, highly-skilled, and reliable personal care assistant (PCA) to join its growing home health care team. In this role, the assistant will work with clients in their homes, providing assistance with basic personal hygiene and domestic tasks as needed, tailored to their individual requirements and limitations. The role involves delivering compassionate care and assistance, as well as documenting clients' progress to ensure their overall wellbeing.

Requirements

CPR/ BLS First Aid
High School Diploma or GED
At least one year of full time professional experience in a healthcare setting
Mastery of the English language, written & verbal
Good communication skills, excellent conversational skills
Ability to work closely supervised to ensure competence in providing client care
Able to lift heavy objects, help move clients, and perform physical tasks
Patience and ability to remain calm in stressful situations
Prompt and reliable
Warm and caring personality
Commitment to treating clients with dignity and respect
Willingness to comply with all legal and institutional requirements and guidelines
Driver's License/State-issued ID
CNA License
Current CPR Card
TB Results
Social Security Card
Vaccination Card
Must have existing fingerprinting background check

Nice To Haves

Three to five years of full time professional experience in a healthcare setting
Significant experience working in a home health care environment
Experience in domestic work or housekeeping

Responsibilities

Work with clients in their homes, helping them with basic personal hygiene and domestic tasks as needed, according to their requirements and limitations
Provide compassionate care and assistance
Document clients' progress to help ensure their overall wellbeing
Attend eight (8) hours of personal care-oriented services per year
Participate in professional meetings when directed
Conduct domestic and personal tasks requested by the client
