Central Oklahoma Community Mental Health Center (COCMHC), Norman, OK is currently recruiting for a Licensed Behavioral Health Professional Team Lead to join their facility to support the Children and Family department. This position will work alongside a robust treatment team to provide care for children and adults. Passion for ongoing professional development through robust training opportunities. About this Facility: COCMHC was opened in 1968 and was the nation’s first community mental health center. It was funded through a federal grant program that has resulted in similar facilities throughout the country. Built on the premise that people suffering from mental illnesses would be better served in the community as opposed to an institution, the center has played a pivotal role in restoring the lives of countless area residents. COCMHC was awarded a CARF Three-Year Accreditation for the following programs: PACT (Program of Assertive Community Treatment), Evaluation and Referral, Adult Outpatient, Team Green PSR (Psychiatric Rehabilitation), Systems of Care and Transitional Services, and Child and Family Services. COCMHC is located in Norman, Oklahoma and employs approximately 95 individuals from Norman and surrounding communities. Join a team that CARES! Requirements

  • A licensed mental health professional (LPC, LCSW, LMFT, or similar credentials)
  • Strong assessment and diagnostic skills to ensure high-quality, accurate client evaluations.
  • Leadership experience and the ability to manage and guide a treatment team effectively.
  • A commitment to providing top-notch mental health and substance abuse services in a supportive environment.
  • Passion for ongoing professional development through robust training opportunities.
  • Master’s degree in psychology, social work, counseling, or closely related field
  • LBHP: Must be a practitioner with a license to practice in the state of Oklahoma issued by one of the following licensure boards: Psychology, Social Work (clinical specialty only); Professional Counselor; Marriage and Family Therapist; Behavioral Practitioner; or Alcohol and Drug Counselor. Examples include: Licensed Psychologist, LCSW, LPC, LMFT, LBP, LADC, LADC/MH)
  • Two (2) years of post-master's experience in providing professional behavioral services to consumers in a state approved facility or similar entity.
  • Willing to fulfill any job-related travel normally associated with position, e.g., attend training etc. Must maintain a valid driver’s license
  • Position requires participation in on-call rotation unless exempted by Executive Director.
