As an LADC Case Manager in a residential treatment center is a professional who combines case management duties with the specialized skills of a Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LADC). Their primary role is to coordinate care for clients living in a treatment facility while providing clinical support related to substance use disorders.

Requirements

  • Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LADC) or equivalent state certification.
  • Training in substance use treatment, motivational interviewing, trauma-informed care, and case management.
  • Experience in residential treatment or behavioral health settings is often preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assessment & Treatment Planning- Helps develop individualized treatment plans based on client needs and diagnostic criteria.
  • Case Management- Monitors progress and adjusts plans as clients move through levels of care.
  • Counseling & Clinical Support- Provides individual and group counseling within the scope of the LADC license, and educates clients about addiction, recovery, coping skills, and relapse prevention.
  • Advocacy & Client Support- Advocates for clients with outside agencies
  • Documentation & Compliance- Maintains clinical records consistent with state regulations, licensing standards, and facility policies
  • Discharge & Aftercare Planning- Prepares clients for transition back into the community
