As an LADC Case Manager in a residential treatment center is a professional who combines case management duties with the specialized skills of a Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LADC). Their primary role is to coordinate care for clients living in a treatment facility while providing clinical support related to substance use disorders.
Requirements
- Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LADC) or equivalent state certification.
- Training in substance use treatment, motivational interviewing, trauma-informed care, and case management.
- Experience in residential treatment or behavioral health settings is often preferred.
Responsibilities
- Assessment & Treatment Planning- Helps develop individualized treatment plans based on client needs and diagnostic criteria.
- Case Management- Monitors progress and adjusts plans as clients move through levels of care.
- Counseling & Clinical Support- Provides individual and group counseling within the scope of the LADC license, and educates clients about addiction, recovery, coping skills, and relapse prevention.
- Advocacy & Client Support- Advocates for clients with outside agencies
- Documentation & Compliance- Maintains clinical records consistent with state regulations, licensing standards, and facility policies
- Discharge & Aftercare Planning- Prepares clients for transition back into the community
