Requirements
- An active North Dakota LAC license.
- Prior experience in substance use treatment or addiction counseling (preferred).
- Proficiency in assessments, individual and group therapy, and evidence-based approaches.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative, team-oriented mindset.
- If in recovery, one must have achieved a period of sustained abstinence and be able to demonstrate successful rehabilitation and stability.
- Successful background check.
- Compliance with drug-free workplace policies, including pre-employment screening.
- To ensure ethical standards are maintained, employees cannot be current participants in Heartview Foundation’s primary treatment programs.

Responsibilities
- Leading individual and group counseling sessions tailored to patient needs
- Conducting assessments and developing personalized treatment plans
- Utilizing evidence-based practices, including Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) and harm reduction strategies
- Collaborating with medical and behavioral health professionals for coordinated, high-quality care
- Promoting an inclusive environment that honors each individual’s background and experiences
