Murgado Automotive of Chicago is seeking a detail-oriented and organized License and Title Clerk to join our finance team. As a License and Title Clerk, you will play a vital role in ensuring accurate and timely processing of vehicle registration and titling documentation. If you have experience in automotive licensing and title work, possess excellent attention to detail, and enjoy working in a dynamic environment, we want to hear from you.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in finance or related field is a plus.
  • Previous experience as a license and title clerk or in a similar role is preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
  • Proficiency in using title and registration software and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced and team-oriented setting.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

  • Process vehicle registration and titling paperwork for sold and traded vehicles.
  • Prepare and submit all necessary documentation to the appropriate agencies for title transfers.
  • Calculate taxes, fees, and other charges associated with vehicle sales.
  • Verify and record customer and vehicle information accurately.
  • Communicate with customers, lenders, and government agencies to resolve any title-related inquiries.
  • Collaborate with sales and finance teams to ensure accurate and timely processing.
  • Maintain organized and up-to-date title records and documentation.
  • Follow dealership and legal guidelines for accurate and compliant title processing.
  • Assist in other administrative tasks as required.
