Responsibilities

  • Provide excellent customer service to library patrons of all ages by answering basic informational, directional, and library/Makerspace policy and procedures questions during open hours and programs directed to kids, teens, and adults.
  • Support the maintenance of the Makerspace equipment to ensure the makerspace remains orderly and functional.
  • Oversee the 3D queue and perform basic maintenance to maximize the functionality and well-being of the 3D printer and its supplies.
  • Facilitate ongoing activities that provide guidance on the use of Makerspace equipment, including but not limited to: 3D Printer, Laser Cutter, Poster Printer, Button Maker, Green Screen, etc., inspiring and encouraging members of the community to explore and create.
  • Maintain an up-to-date inventory and ensure clear identification of supplies and equipment. Your role is crucial in keeping our operations running smoothly.
  • Assist with special projects and assignments, such as preparing STEM programs directed at specific underrepresented groups, to inspire and create lifelong learners.
  • Provide demonstrations of the equipment inside Makerspace, helping patrons operate the equipment when necessary for a successful learning process and the effective use of the equipment.
