JOB GOAL : To provide a functional and inviting library that supports the school curriculum and recreational reading; to inform teachers, students, staff and community users of available library resources and learning tools; to serve collaborator and partner with classroom educators in instructional design and to offer direct research and library skills instruction to students. TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Nine and one-half (9.50) month contract (195 days), plus benefit package. NOTE: Precise placement within the salary range will be determined based upon education and experience. FLSA: EXEMPT . QUALIFICATIONS: Master’s degree is required. Must have Arkansas Teacher’s License in Library Media. Evidence of current trends in instructional technology. Evidence of skills in the area of classroom management. Experience as a practicing school library media specialist required. Evidence of strong interpersonal skills. Evidence of strong oral and written communication skills. Evidence of a strong commitment to quality desegregated education.
