Discovery - Library Media Assistant
About The Position
This position is a 1.0 FTE , working 187 days located at Discovery Elementary. All Teachers/Instructional Staff hired after January 15th are considered term employees. This position is a term position that is effective for FY26 through June 18, 2026 only. You would need to re-apply for a position for FY27. Qualifications: Assistants must meet the requirements of the NCLB and Elementary and Secondary Education Act (ESEA) at the time of hire. A high school diploma, and An Associate Degree or two years of college study. At least 60 semester hours, 12 which must be in English or mathematics, depending on job responsibilities, or A score of at least 455 on the Parapro Test. Experience: Experience working with a Library Media Specialist. Experience working in an elementary school setting.

- Ability to follow written and oral instructions.
- Patient, flexible, and dependable.
Responsibilities
- Performs clerical and instructional support work in the library/media center.
