Carnegie Mellon University is a private, global research university that stands among the world’s most renowned education institutions. With ground-breaking brain science, path-breaking performances, creative start-ups, big data, big ambitions, hands-on learning, and a whole lot of robots, CMU doesn’t imagine the future, we invent it. In this role, you’ll help patrons navigate library resources — from books and electronic materials to media equipment and ongoing library initiatives — both in person and through email and chat. You’ll use library systems and tools to assist with acquisitions, cataloging, metadata creation, and circulation tasks, and you may also help guide student employees. This position contributes to special projects, provides basic research and clerical support, and gathers statistics to inform library operations. If you enjoy problem‑solving, learning new systems, and delivering friendly, reliable service in a collaborative environment, we’d love to meet you.
