About The Position

Tessera is seeking a Librarian responsible for maintaining and organizing library collections, including books, serial publications, audiovisual materials, and other informational resources. This role supports individuals and groups in locating and accessing materials, provides guidance on library services, and helps ensure the efficient day-to-day operation of the library. Typical duties include but are not limited to: Acts as a first point of contact for customers seeking reference material, maps, Operation and Maintenance manuals, etc . contained within the Technical Reference Center (TRC). Responsible for the organizational cataloging and filing of hard copy and electronic documents, maps, and archive materials contained within the TRC. Presents in a professional manner with customer service skills. Catalogs, organizes, shelving, and ensures the upkeep of library materials, including books, periodicals, and media. Responsible to communicate to the Production Manager when O&M manuals, plans, and drawings are received from others to be cataloged and filed. Providing basic assistance with library equipment, computers, and digital resources. Is responsible for identifying and reporting issues related to the TRC space, electronic equipment, and supplies necessary for operating, safeguarding, processing, and printing plans and information within the TRC. Ensures compliance with privacy and confidentiality standards. Support library programming and outreach efforts. Provides information on library activities, services, policies, and facilities. Responsible for re-filing TRC documents after use to ensure proper accountability.

Requirements

  • Highschool Diploma/GED required; Associate degree preferred. An equivalent combination of experience and education allowed.
  • Minimum 3 years in Library technology.
  • Experience in library operations, cataloging, and reference services.
  • Familiarity with library management systems and digital cataloging tools
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential for interacting with various customers.
  • The ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple requests simultaneously, and maintain accurate records is crucial.
  • A valid state driver’s license is required with the ability to obtain and maintain coverage by Tessera’s insurance.
  • Access to a federal military installation requires a REAL ID-compliant driver's license or an acceptable alternative, such as a U.S. passport or military ID, in accordance with the REAL ID Act.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain applicable security clearances and installation access.
  • A background check and E-Verify will be conducted for this position.
  • Per our government contract, 2.7.2.6, “No employee or representative of the Contractor will be admitted to the site of work unless satisfactory proof of U.S. citizenship is furnished.”
