About The Position

We are seeking a highly skilled and innovative Liaison Officer (LNO) to join our team in the greater DMV area, supporting the Army National Guard. Responsibilities Serve as operational liaison among SOC, RCC‑ARNG, state partners, external agencies, and mission stakeholders to coordinate cyber operations, exercises, and incident responses. Communicate priorities, requirements, and constraints across organizations; capture feedback, issues, and requests for support. Participate in forums, working groups, and technical exchanges; translate technical findings into operationally relevant messaging for commanders and stakeholders. Maintain and manage contact lists, battle rhythms, escalation channels, and communication paths to support rapid collaboration during incidents and assessments. Coordinate cross‑organizational actions, ensure tasking clarity, and track resolution of inter‑agency or multi‑state activities. Prepare and deliver coordination summaries, decision briefs, and situation updates to enable synchronized operations and leadership situational awareness. Support exercise planning and execution by facilitating interoperability, data exchanges, and lessons‑learned capture between participants. Document liaison activities, action items, and after-action recommendations to improve collaborative processes and response efficiency. #ENOCS

Requirements

  • Minimum of 8 years with BS/BA; Minimum of 6 years with MS/MA; Minimum of 3 years with PhD
  • Clearance: Active TS/SCI clearance.
  • Candidate must meet ONE of the following: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Data Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field; OR Relevant DoD/military training (examples: Cyber 101; IT Project Manager (Advanced) Playlist); OR Relevant professional certification or equivalent experience (examples: RCCE Level 1; CCISO; CCSP; CISA; CISM; CISSP; CISSP‑ISSEP; CISSP‑ISSMP; DAWIA PM Advanced; FITSP‑A; FITSP‑M; GFACT; GSLC).
  • Experience in cyber operations, liaison, or coordination roles supporting SOC/CIRT, CCMD, or large multi‑stakeholder environments.
  • Demonstrated ability to translate technical cyber findings into operational/command‑level messaging and briefs.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement, facilitation, and communication skills across technical and executive audiences.
  • Experience maintaining operational battle rhythms, contact rosters, and incident communication channels; ability to manage escalations and interagency tasking.
  • Proficiency producing coordination reports, situational summaries, and action trackers that support decision making.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience working with RCC‑ARNG, state/Territory cyber staffs, NETCOM, ARCYBER, or interagency cyber coordination.
  • Experience supporting multi‑jurisdiction exercises, incident cross-boundary coordination, and after-action reporting.
  • Familiarity with DoD/Army operational constructs, reporting formats, and classified communications protocols.
