Liaison IV, Cardiovascular Surgery Transplant - Full Time, Days (08HR)
About The Position
Experienced level knows how to apply theory and put into practice with in depth understanding health care practices; independently performs the full range of responsibilities within the function; possess broad job knowledge;analyzes problems/issues of diverse scope and determines solutions. Expertise of Liaison III skills and knowledge PLUS: Functions as a preceptor to new staff Complex appointment, procedure and surgery scheduling requiring strong knowledge of procedures and department protocols Interprofessional collaboration with physicians, APPs, RNs, and other department staff in their designated program Complex care coordination: procedure/surgical add-ons, admissions, multi-disciplinary procedure/surgical clearances, inpatient transfers, blood bank Coordinates and facilitates authorization process - informs patient’s authorization and collects payment for new and returning patients, using the scheduling system Ability to research and interpret relevant regulations, guidelines, and standards Coordinates care by scheduling, editing and maintaining routine patient physician appointments for new and returning patients
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- Three or more years of overall experience
Nice To Haves
- Associates degree in health-related field from an accredited college or university OR Bachelor’s degree Preferred
