PFS offers infant, toddler, and preschool programs, financial empowerment, employment services, and older adult support. The LGBTQ+ Older Adult Program Coordinator is responsible for developing and coordinating older adult programming in partnership with San Mateo County Pride Center (SMCPC) and CoastPride (CP). This role involves recruiting volunteers and participants, collaborating with community partners, facilitating groups and events, and raising community awareness of the Peninsula Family Service Peer Counseling program for LGBTQ+ older adults in San Mateo County. This professional position requires interaction with the public, program partners, governmental agencies, and other community-based nonprofit organizations. The Coordinator will recruit peer counselors and connect participants with counseling services and peer support groups, working with partners such as the San Mateo Pride Center, CoastPride, the Pride Initiative, the LGBTQ Commission in San Mateo County, and Aging and Older Adult Services.
