About The Position

Stillman Law Office is a reputable and dynamic law firm based in Farmington Hills, Michigan, with a focus on providing exceptional legal services. We are seeking a motivated Level One Help Desk Technician to join our IT team and support the firm’s technical needs. The role involves troubleshooting technical issues, managing hardware and software, and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations for the team. This is an onsite position, Monday through Friday, with some weekend availability.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's degree in Information Technology or related field preferred.
  • Prior help desk or technical support experience is a plus but not required.
  • Basic knowledge of Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience in handling IT troubleshooting tasks efficiently.
  • Strong work ethic with the ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks.
  • Excellent attention to detail and customer service focus.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Provide first-line technical support for hardware, software, and network issues.
  • Troubleshoot desktop, printer, and peripheral device problems.
  • Assist in the setup, configuration, and deployment of office equipment.
  • Manage user accounts, including password resets and access permissions.
  • Track and document issues using a ticketing system and escalate as needed.
  • Perform routine maintenance, software updates, and system backups.
  • Communicate effectively with end-users to resolve issues promptly.
  • Collaborate with the IT team to improve processes and streamline workflow.
  • Provide occasional after-hours or weekend support when necessary.
