About The Position

WIN Waste Innovations is looking for a Level B Heavy Equipment Mechanic who, under limited supervision, will repair and maintain our fleet of vehicles. WIN Waste Innovations is a waste management company committed to delivering essential waste management solutions to customers and communities supported by our team of 2,300 employees. WIN Waste Innovations is a vertically integrated business with a platform of 50 strategically located collection, transfer, and disposal assets. These include waste-to-energy facilities, transfer stations, ash monofills, landfills, and fleets of rail cars and collection vehicles. We process more than 11 million tons of waste annually, converting 6.7 million tons of waste into clean, renewable energy that powers 340,000 homes. We recycle more than 234,000 tons of plastic, paper, and metals from the waste stream. Requirements

  • Equivalent of (1) high school diploma or G.E.D. certification and 1 year of related equipment maintenance and repair; OR (2) 4 years of related equipment maintenance and repair.
  • Valid driver license.

Responsibilities

  • Performs preventive maintenance services
  • Inspects, diagnoses and repairs vehicles and equipment
  • Performs inspection, diagnosis and repair of electrical, hydraulic, suspension, brake and air systems on vehicles and equipment
  • Performs service calls
  • Conducts safety checks on vehicles
  • Assists Lead Mechanics as needed
  • Reviews and completes repairs identified on Vehicle Condition Reports
  • Maintains a clean, safe work area in compliance with OSHA and organizational standards
  • Completes paperwork associated with repairing vehicles, documenting parts usage, and accounts for applied times
  • Maintain positive work environment by acting and communicating in a manner so that you get along with customers, clients, vendors, co-workers and management.
