About The Position

We are looking for an experienced Level 3 Data Center Technician to join our team. This role involves maintaining data center infrastructure, troubleshooting complex issues, performing server installations, and ensuring continuous network availability. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of data center operations, network infrastructure, and server hardware, including GPU deployment. A minimum of 4+ years of experience in a hyperscale environment is required.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 4+ years of experience in a hyperscale data center environment.
  • Strong knowledge of computer hardware, servers, and components.
  • Familiarity with GPU deployment and troubleshooting.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
  • Physical ability to lift up to 35 lbs, climb ladders, and wear PPE.
  • Proficiency in basic tools and safety practices.
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

Nice To Haves

  • CompTIA A+, Server+, CCENT (or equivalent experience).
  • CCNA certification preferred.
  • Experience with Windows OS, scripting (PowerShell, Python, Bash).
  • Familiarity with structured cabling, fiber optics, rack & stack.
  • Knowledge of ITIL framework and ticketing systems.
  • OSHA30 or higher certification.

Responsibilities

  • Perform advanced tasks and provide support for Level 1 and Level 2 activities as needed.
  • Install, cable, and configure servers and switches according to provided documentation.
  • Inspect hardware for damage and ensure proper installation of components (NICs, drives, memory).
  • Maintain cable management standards and verify connectivity with network administrators.
  • Troubleshoot server issues, isolate problems, and perform break-fix repairs.
  • Order and replace defective parts; update firmware and configure IP settings.
  • Deploy and configure GPUs in servers, ensuring proper functionality.
  • Assist network administrators with hardware-related issues, including cabling, optics replacement, and component upgrades.
  • Rack and stack servers or switches for temporary or permanent installations.
  • Audit servers, consumables, and maintain accurate documentation.
  • Provide advanced troubleshooting and resolve tickets promptly.
  • Lead and prioritize workload across the team; serve as liaison between team members and management.
  • Review build documentation, validate requirements, and direct data center build activities.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and data center best practices.
  • Manage multiple projects under tight deadlines and high-pressure environments.
