Job: Level 2 Operator Job Description: Role: Field based role, which at times involves working in a challenging environment that can be physically demanding. Ideal candidate needs to be able to adapt quickly to a process which may change at short notice.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure fulfilment of company Health and Safety policy.
  • Comply with Safety, Quality and Environment regulations.
  • Monitor, maintain and start up plant in order to achieve process continuity in an efficient manner, following safety, quality and environmental regulations established by the company.
  • Notify the Lead Operator and/or Shift Manager of any event that occurs or is detected, which may or could affect process continuity by means of work orders.
  • Notify the Lead Operator and/or Shift Manager of any absence from work due to a work accident/incident.
  • Actively participate in line housekeeping.
  • Form part of the second response team in the event of an emergency.
  • Regularly carry out Total Preventative Maintenance checks to ensure associated plant is running to optimum specification and any defects/issues are identified and resolved in a timely manner.
  • Correctly sort the waste generated in the work carried out during his/her shift, in accordance with the company environment policy.
  • Support the Lead Operator in performing the production programme in accordance with production targets, complying with quality specification with the greatest overall efficiency possible.
  • Carry out work during scheduled monthly annual or general downtimes in line with the plan and instructions of the shift manager in order to attain the objectives set with regards to duration.
  • Keep department installations, machines and tools in perfect working order.
  • Carry out tasks as assigned by the shift manager.
  • Help the Lead Operator to maintain, restart or modify production conditions: review, check, prepare or act on elements or installations in the section.
  • Occasionally carry out jobs at a higher hierarchical level, if required in the section.
