About The Position
Centurion is proud to be the provider of comprehensive healthcare services to the Missouri Department of Corrections. We are currently seeking a full-time Level 1 Medication Aide to join our team at Fulton Reception and Diagnostic Correctional Center located in Fulton, Missouri. The Level 1 Medication Aide Under the direction of the facility Director of Nursing / nursing designee, administers medications as prescribed; and documents the medication effectiveness and any noted adverse actions or side effects. Full Time-Day/Evening Shift
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Preferred to have current active Level 1 Medication Aide certification from the Department of Health and Senior Services (DHSS) or the Department of Mental Health (DMH) which may also be referred to as DD Medication Aide (mo.tmutest.com).
- Insulin certification preferred.
- Must complete required continuing education to maintain certification (minimum of four (4) hours of medication administration training every two (2) years).
- Required training will be documented and maintained in Employee File.
- Must maintain current tuberculosis documentation and active CPR/AED certification.
- If not already Level 1 Medication Aide certified – applicant must successfully complete internal level one medication aide and insulin training to maintain employment beyond probationary period.
- Must be able to pass a background investigation and obtain agency security clearance where applicable.
Nice To Haves
- One year experience in acute care, emergency or correctional setting preferred.
