This role is part of Blue Origin Operations, which is comprised of Integrated Supply Chain, Test Operations, Safety, Quality, and Mission Assurance. This includes Manufacturing and Supply Chain support across all Blue Origin facilities. Position Summary: The Production Supervisor for the Leo Dispenser is responsible for leading a fast-paced, rate-driven manufacturing environment. This role ensures execution across cost, quality, schedule, and safety while supporting increasing production demands and workforce growth. The supervisor will lead a multifunctional team and drive performance to meet program objectives.

Requirements

  • Experience in manufacturing, production, or operations leadership
  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
  • Strong understanding of rate production and workflow management
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines
  • Effective communication and problem-solving skills

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in aerospace or complex assembly manufacturing
  • Background leading multifunctional teams
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing / continuous improvement principles
  • Experience managing tiered production builds or multiple shipsets
  • Familiarity with production metrics and performance tracking tools

Responsibilities

  • Lead daily production operations in a high-tempo, rate production environment
  • Ensure adherence to cost, quality, schedule, and safety (CQSS) targets
  • Supervise and support a team of production employees, ensuring proper staffing and coverage
  • Coordinate across multifunctional teams (engineering, quality, supply chain, planning) to resolve issues and maintain flow
  • Drive on-time delivery across multiple shipsets and tiered build structures
  • Monitor production metrics and implement corrective actions to address gaps
  • Promote and enforce a strong safety culture and compliance with all safety requirements
  • Ensure product quality standards are met and reduce defects/rework
  • Support hiring, onboarding, and training of new employees as production ramps
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives to increase efficiency and reduce cost
  • Communicate status, risks, and recovery plans to leadership
