POSITION SUMMARY: Assists commercial lenders in all aspects of managing their new loans and existing portfolios including prospect marketing assistance, preparation for loan closings and post-closing credit monitoring and tracking.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree, with emphasis in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, or other related field; or 2-year Associates Degree with a minimum of 2 years of other work-related experience; or 4-years of banking related work experience.
  • Minimum 2 years in banking (background in loan documentation useful)
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to deliver a high level of responsiveness to other staff and customers.
  • Ability to multi-task and organize priorities.

Responsibilities

  • Works directly with the borrower to obtain additional information at the direction of the lender.
  • Assists lender in managing maturity list to ensure credits are renewed in a timely manner.
  • Supports the lenders and credit analysts in prioritizing and preparing loan committee credit presentations on new, renewing, and existing relationships that require committee approval.
  • Works with lender and credit department to analyzes the need for lien searches, flood certifications, environmental reports, appraisals, and credit bureaus and assists with direct resolution of outstanding items.
  • Determines provider, price and reviews title work with the assistance/guidance of lender.
  • Prepare requests for loan documentation and work to clear any pre-closing exceptions.
  • Reviews loan documentation for accuracy.
  • Coordinates closing instructions with the Title Company and other parties as needed.
  • May attend closings if needed.
  • Prepares needed documentation for the booking and funding of the loans including reconciling and documentation of all funding requests.
  • Monitors and takes action on any delinquencies and overdrafts with lender direction.
  • Review and clear outstanding file exceptions.
  • Maintain strong contact with customers requesting information, sales call, cross selling products based on their banking needs.
