About The Position

The Lending Sales Manager will be responsible for managing and expanding relationships for all lending channels. The ideal candidate will have strong business development skills and will focus on deepening the member relationships, along with our small business owners and referral partners/brokers to grow referral business. This position manages the direct loan originations team, and provides oversight of our robust indirect auto lending program. Must have an understanding of consumer lending products and regulatory compliance. Additional responsibilities may extend across business areas that span the entire lending department.

  • Bachelor’s degree in a business discipline from an accredited college or university; Associates’ degrees with relevant work experience will be considered.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in loan production and 3-5 years of managing sales teams is required. A combination of related experience and education may be considered.

  • Experience working in or with auto sales is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and develop relationships with members, small business owners and referral partners to promote consistent loan production and strengthen long-term collaboration.
  • Manage the activities of the direct loan originations team. Effectively manage and track loan pipelines to meet goals and ensure quality standards are being met.
  • Create and implement outreach efforts to engage local businesses and identify opportunities for new referral partner/broker relationships.
  • Partner with the underwriting and processing teams to ensure an exceptional experience throughout all aspects of the loan journey for all parties across all lending channels.
  • Serve as an escalation point for sensitive member issues and resolve them in a positive and timely manner.
  • Conduct regular pipeline meetings with the department to ensure alignment with loan and strategic goals.
  • Partner with other leaders throughout the credit union to facilitate communication and resolve any service issues. Address issues promptly and efficiently.
  • Participate in Credit Union business development and community opportunities.
  • Collaborate with others in management, communicating with transparency and prioritizing a team-based approach, to develop and implement strategies that will support new lending relationships and/or additional products.
  • Maintain an in-depth knowledge of the lending industry and market as well as knowledge of competitors and competitive products.
  • Perform other duties as assigned
