About The Position

B Generous is a fast-growing, VC-backed fintech platform transforming access to capital for nonprofits and mission-driven organizations. We operate a sophisticated lending marketplace and origination platform , connecting institutional capital providers, including banks, credit funds, and specialty finance lenders, with nonprofit borrowers across the United States. Our platform supports transactions ranging from $25,000 to $50 million , across structured products including term loans, lines of credit, and revenue-based financing. By combining cutting edge technology, machine learning and Generative AI, predictive analytics, and strong domain expertise, B Generous is redefining nonprofit finance in the United States. We are looking for a capital-side leader to help scale our lender network and drive deal execution. You will directly impact capital deployment and revenue generation by driving lender engagement and deal execution. This is a capital-facing, relationship-driven role responsible for driving the placement and execution of transactions across our marketplace while managing and expanding B Generous’s network of bank and non-bank lending partners. You will act as the primary interface with institutional lenders, speaking the language of banks, and credit committees to structure deals and ensuring transactions move efficiently from opportunity to funded loan.

Requirements

  • 5+ years in banking, private credit, structured finance, or lending platforms
  • Experience working with or alongside:
  • Banks

  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage institutional counterparties

  • Experience with loan syndication, participations, or capital distribution
  • Exposure to marketplace lending or fintech platforms
  • Familiarity with nonprofit finance, CDFIs, or mission-driven lending (preferred but not required)

Responsibilities

  • Lender Relationship Management & Coverage
  • Own day-to-day relationships with a network of banks, credit funds, and specialty finance lenders
  • Act as a trusted counterpart to lender teams, including originations, credit, and portfolio management
  • Develop deep understanding of each lender’s:
  • Credit appetite
  • Structuring preferences
  • Return thresholds
  • Approval processes
  • Proactively originate engagement by matching relevant opportunities to lender mandates
  • Expand the lender network by onboarding new institutional partners
  • Deal Placement & Capital Matching
  • Lead the distribution of transactions to appropriate lenders based on structure, risk profile, and deal size
  • Position and present opportunities in a way that resonates with credit committees and investment teams
  • Drive lender engagement, indications of interest, and competitive dynamics
  • Manage multi-lender processes, including situations with competing term sheets
  • Transaction Execution & Deal Progression
  • Own deals from marketplace posting through closing
  • Drive timelines by following up with lenders, pushing for decisions, and resolving bottlenecks
  • Coordinate diligence requests and ensure lenders receive timely, accurate information
  • Work cross-functionally with internal credit, originations, and borrower teams to keep deals moving
  • Support structuring conversations between nonprofit borrowers and lenders
  • Closing & Capital Deployment
  • Coordinate with lenders, borrowers, and third parties to bring transactions to close
  • Ensure all conditions, documentation, and funding requirements are met
  • Facilitate smooth capital deployment and transition to servicing
  • Marketplace Intelligence & Strategy
  • Capture and track lender feedback, credit trends, and market dynamics
  • Continuously refine deal-to-lender matching strategy
  • Provide insights to leadership on:
  • Lender demand trends
  • Conversion rates
  • Time-to-close
  • Capital gaps and opportunities
  • Pipeline Management & Reporting
  • Manage the deal pipeline in the company’s CRM and/or loan origination system with real-time status updates
  • Track and report on marketplace metrics including lender engagement rates, deal conversion rates, time-to-close, and funding volume
  • Provide regular updates to leadership on lender activity, deal flow, and pipeline health
  • Identify process bottlenecks and recommend improvements to accelerate time-to-close
