Since 1954, Woodgrain is proud to be family owned and operated. This is a 2nd shift position Hours M-F 3:00 pm to 11:30. Occasionally Saturday's. General Laborer is to assist the skilled operator in established methods and procedures in the production of the products of this plant which consist of lumber, blocks, blanks moulding and/or animal bedding.

Nice To Haves

  • Prefer Licensed Driver
  • Prefer HS Diploma/GED but not required.
  • Production experience is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Assist machine operators in the production process,
  • Examine products to verify conformance to quality standards.
  • Observe equipment operations so that malfunctions can be detected, and notify operators of any malfunctions.
  • Lift raw materials, finished products, and packed items, manually or using hoists.
  • Count finished products to determine if product orders are complete.
  • Mark or tag identification on parts.
  • Load and unload items from machines, conveyors, and conveyances.
  • Help production workers by performing duties of lesser skill, such as supplying or holding materials or tools, or cleaning work areas and equipment.
  • Clean and lubricate equipment.
  • Record information, such as the number of products tested, meter readings, or dates and times of product production.
  • The ability to quickly move your hand, your hand together with your arm, or your two hands to grasp, manipulate, or assemble objects.
  • Job requires being reliable, responsible, and dependable, and fulfilling obligations
