Because ProSidian Consulting is a Management and Operations Consulting Firm, our internships are nearly all focused on research and writing, assistance on administrative management issues, strategic and organizational planning, and business process improvement. Legislative And Public Policy & Volunteer Interns will perform a variety of duties, including conducting research for the Engagement Team staff, communicating with internal teams, and assisting in the administrative operations of our office. As a ProSidian Consulting intern, you own a project or participate in an Engagement Support Capacity that will call on your technical and qualitative skills that can be wrapped up before you leave the internship period. You will be encouraged to network and build relationships across functions as well as with other interns. In addition, we will provide you with some organized social and networking opportunities to help you get connected to other interns and ProSidian Engagement Team Members. Lastly, we will document and provide you with an appropriate reference and/or letter of recommendation as appropriate to support the pursuit of your future endeavors. PROSIDIAN LEGISLATIVE AND PUBLIC POLICY INTERNSHIP DESCRIPTION ProSidian is looking for “Great People Who Lead” to serve as Legislative and Public Policy Volunteer Interns at a planning summit for a federal agency. Interested students should share our commitment to integrity, quality, and value. The purpose of our engagement is to convene and collect data from stakeholders, private sector leaders, scholars and public policy makers for a conversation focused on “The State Of Minority Business Development” and the political and economic realities of the U.S. Minority population. This is intended to generate solutions for how minority business growth will create more jobs, shrink the wealth gap and contribute to the revitalization of the U.S. Economy. The dialogue may result in a series of resolutions/assertions/vision statements to guide future business development programs and to educate federal, state, and local elected officials. The event shall take place during a One (1) Day Legislative Policy Stakeholder Summit Conference on February 25, 2015, from 8:30 a.m. – 5:00p.m., at a Pre - Determined Conference Center Location in Washington, DC. The Stakeholder Summit Title is “Elevate The Narrative And Direction Of Minority Businesses As A National Economic Priority” and the objective is to raise the level of awareness and discussion on issues related to parity for Minority Business Enterprises (MBE).
