About The Position

The Husband and Wife Law Team is looking to immediately add a Legal Team Support Supervisor to our growing legal team! We are looking for someone that has experience overseeing, coordinating, and supporting the work of our paralegal specialists and legal assistants that directly support our paralegal team. As a Legal Team Support Supervisor, you will be responsible for driving the success of the team through the use of performance-based dashboards, training, and development. Requirements

  • The ideal candidate will have at least 5-7 years of proven experience working in a plaintiff’s personal injury setting, medical malpractice, or similar area is preferred; 3-5 years of supervisory or management experience is required.
  • Ability to effectively communicate both written and orally.
  • Highly organized with great attention to detail.
  • Strong ability to work on multiple tasks at one time while meeting the demands of a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be good with time management and know-how to prioritize deadlines.
  • Enjoy working in a team environment while promoting a positive culture and team morale.

Nice To Haves

  • Preferred management experience of key performance indicators (KPI’s) with data analysis.

Responsibilities

  • Meet weekly with each team member and identify ways to drive achievement of key performance indicators and/or other position expectations through coaching development.
  • Monitor the management of individual workload through audits, deadline-driven reports, and other internal measurements.
  • Responsible for the development, implementation, and delivery of training materials.
  • Act as an extension of human resources by facilitating all performance reviews, compliance, disciplinary, and off-boarding.
  • Audit individual performance regularly for procedure adherence, consistency, and efficiency measures.
  • Manage all time-off including calendar management, backup coverage, and daily timecard punches.
  • Uphold core values and firm client experience expectations; guide team members when there are any issues.
  • Complete all balance verification requests within a specified timeframe to minimize the time a case closes out.
  • Perform regular analysis of workload projections to determine future staffing needs.
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and operational efficiency through analysis of internal data, reporting, and review of procedures.
  • Work with legal assistants to train them to be paralegals
  • Manage and oversee the team’s workload specifically the opening, assembling, and organizing of new cases within the time frame expected by the firm.
  • To make sure we are consistent with our values by ensuring all necessary medical records/billing/closing aspects of the case are requested and received within expected timeframes.
  • Interview, onboard, and manage all new hire paralegals and legal assistants by helping them complete their first 90 days.
