What we offer you Summary: Hydro Extrusion North America is seeking one to two law student interns to work with our lean dynamic in-house legal team based in Rosemont, IL (accessible via the Blue Line). We have been proud to host law student interns since 2012. We work closely with our HR, commercial, finance, environmental, quality and other business colleagues to help prevent and address legal issues, and our legal interns have the opportunity, under the supervision of a licensed attorney, to interact directly with our internal clients and outside counsel. Pay Range: $25/hour What you will be doing

Requirements

  • Current enrollment in an accredited law school at the rising 2L level, having completed 1 year of law school with a graduation year of 2027

  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and will be able to work effectively under deadline pressures
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills required, as is the ability to maintain a quick response time.
  • Strong business judgment and strategic thinking are desirable.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

Responsibilities

  • Draft, review and negotiate a broad variety of contracts dealing with our customers and suppliers including non-disclosure agreements, supply agreements and consulting agreements.
  • Gather and prepare information necessary to resolve disputes, draft demand letters and handle subpoenas.
  • Partner with in-house attorneys on more complex litigation matters.
  • Address employment-related matters, such as assisting in the response to EEOC claims.
  • Perform legal research to stay at the forefront of legal/compliance risks affecting our business.
