About The Position

The Legal Rotational Associate will have the unique opportunity to experience all aspects of in-house legal support at MFS Investment Management and will actively assist our attorneys with the delivery of legal services in support of MFS' investment management services business.

Requirements

  • Must be graduating from an accredited Juris Doctorate program in Spring of the academic year.
  • Must be admitted to the MA Bar and in good standing within 6 months of hire.
  • Demonstrated interest in business law preferred, which may include securities regulation, corporations, ERISA and/or intellectual property law, as evidenced through academic course work, as well as prior or current professional experience

Responsibilities

  • Conduct legal research
  • Draft memoranda and business correspondence relating to that research
  • Present the results to our attorneys and internal business partners
  • Gain experience reviewing and drafting contracts and disclosure documents
  • Actively participate in business and industry meetings/conference calls
  • Complete assignments that will benefit both the Legal Rotational Associate and MFS
