About The Position

The Legal Recruiting and Professional Development Coordinator supports attorney hiring, onboarding, and development initiatives, ensuring a seamless and positive experience for candidates and new attorneys. This role works closely with the Legal Recruiting and Professional Development Manager and the Chief Legal Recruiting and Professional Development Officer to manage recruiting coordination, attorney integration, and development programs. The Coordinator plays a critical role in building the firm’s attorney talent pipeline and delivering a best-in-class recruiting and onboarding experience.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of two years of administrative experience supporting legal or professional services functions, with experience in legal recruiting, professional development, or law firm operations preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail
  • Proficiency in spreadsheet and database management
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Copilot or similar AI productivity tools
  • Experience with Flo Recruit or a similar applicant tracking system
  • Occasional flexibility to support evening events and peak recruiting periods

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate all scheduling and logistics for lateral attorney recruiting, including interview setup, conference room reservations, catering, and travel arrangements
  • Maintain accurate and comprehensive candidate records in the applicant tracking system, including data entry, document management, status updates, and reporting
  • Distribute interview schedules and reminders to attorneys and collect and track post-interview evaluations
  • Support new attorney orientation and integration, including preparation of welcome materials and communications
  • Assist with planning and coordination of summer associate interviews and summer program events, including schedules, communications, and logistics
  • Support practice groups, partners, and firm leadership to support associate development initiatives aligned with firm priorities and competencies
  • Attend Talent team meetings and assist with departmental projects as needed
  • Participate in recruiting peer groups to remain current on industry best practices
  • Handle administrative tasks, including invoice coding, processing, and general departmental support
  • Stay abreast of trends in local legal recruiting and professional development markets
  • Assist with special projects as assigned
  • Use software tools efficiently, including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Firm Prospects, and Flo Recruit
