Requirements

  • 2–5+ years of experience in a legal operations, paralegal, or similar role in a law firm or in-house legal department.
  • Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Comfortable working with legal systems and technology (CLM experience strongly preferred).
  • Sound judgment in following playbooks and recognizing when issues need to be escalated.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills; able to work effectively with legal and non-legal stakeholders.
  • Proactive, adaptable, and comfortable operating in a fast-changing environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with contract lifecycle management platforms (e.g., Ironclad or similar).
  • Experience helping build or improve legal processes in a growing company.
  • Exposure to technology or startup environments.
  • Familiarity with basic corporate governance or IP administrative processes.

Responsibilities

  • Report directly to the General Counsel and serve as a core member of the legal operations function, supporting a growing in-house legal team.
  • Own and manage the contracts lifecycle through the company’s CLM system, including intake, workflow routing, execution, storage, and reporting.
  • Support the legal team in scaling contract processes by administering standard templates, playbooks, and exception workflows, escalating issues to attorneys as needed.
  • Act as the primary administrator for legal tools and systems (e.g., CLM, e-signature, document management), ensuring data accuracy and process efficiency.
  • Assist with corporate governance and entity maintenance, including organization of records and support for board-related documentation.
  • Coordinate with outside counsel (including IP and litigation counsel) on administrative matters, billing, and document management.
  • Partner with legal team members to build and continuously improve legal infrastructure, including policies, processes, and internal guidelines.
  • Support reporting and metrics for the legal team, such as contract turnaround times, exception rates, and workload tracking.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with business teams to improve legal workflows and reduce friction
