About The Position

This role offers an exciting opportunity for an experienced legal operations professional to lead and optimize the operational backbone of a high-performing Legal function. You will drive the adoption of systems, processes, and AI-enabled tools to streamline workflows, enhance team performance, and scale operations across multiple practice areas including GTM, G&A, and R&D. The position requires a strategic and hands-on approach, balancing people management with operational execution, process improvement, and technology implementation. You will collaborate cross-functionally to ensure legal operations run efficiently, while using data and insights to drive continuous improvement. This is a dynamic environment where innovation, operational excellence, and AI-driven problem solving are highly valued.

Requirements

  • 8–10+ years of experience in Legal Operations or related operational roles within high-growth SaaS or technology environments.
  • 4+ years of experience managing teams, including coaching and development of staff.
  • Proven ability to partner with legal leadership and cross-functional stakeholders to drive operational adoption and alignment.
  • Hands-on experience with automation tools (e.g., Glean, Zapier, Workato) and ticketing platforms (e.g., ServiceNow, JIRA).
  • Experience architecting or managing CLM platforms and designing contracting or procurement workflows.
  • Knowledge of billing/matter management, legal vendor onboarding, and compliance systems.
  • Strong program and project management skills, with operational analytics capabilities.
  • Excellent communication, business-partner mindset, and ability to thrive in fast-paced, high-growth environments.
  • Willingness and enthusiasm to leverage enterprise AI tools to automate and improve legal workflows.
  • Track record of delivering scalable, impactful solutions for legal teams with measurable outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Manage, mentor, and develop the Legal Operations team, providing coaching, career growth support, and setting clear performance goals.
  • Own and execute the Legal Operations roadmap, including workflow modernization, automation, AI tool implementation, and resource planning.
  • Partner with legal leadership and cross-functional teams to enhance contracting workflows, audit readiness, and process efficiency.
  • Operationalize workflows across practice areas, identifying gaps, implementing scalable systems, and documenting procedures to improve consistency and velocity.
  • Lead evaluation, implementation, and management of legal technology systems, including CLM platforms, ticketing systems, and vendor management solutions.
  • Oversee outside counsel billing and legal vendor management, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Establish and maintain KPI and data frameworks to analyze performance, provide actionable insights, and drive continuous improvement.
