About The Position

The Conair Summer Internship Program is designed to provide exceptional students interested in a career in CPG with a unique opportunity to gain experience firsthand about the diverse business operations at Conair. Those selected will gain invaluable work experience through challenging project assignments and on the job learning experiences.

Requirements

  • You should be a current law student entering your second year in the fall of 2026, or a college senior entering law school in the fall of 2026.
  • The internship program will run from June 1, 2026, through August 7, 2026.
  • Interns will work Monday through Friday on a 37.5-hour work week schedule, which includes a 30-minute unpaid lunch break each day.
  • We require candidates to maintain excellent academic standing.
  • Demonstrated strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills are essential for success in this role.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, including Excel and PowerPoint, is necessary.
  • As part of our hybrid work model, interns are expected to be present in the office 4 days a week with Friday being a work from anywhere day.
  • Please note that Conair does not provide housing for summer interns.
  • Compensation for all internship positions is set at $25 per hour, and the internship is based out of our Stamford, CT corporate office location.
  • At this time, we are unable to sponsor visas or OPT.

Responsibilities

  • Legal Research: Conduct legal research on various issues related to corporate matters, including consumer product laws, regulations, and industry standards. Summarize and present findings to the legal team, helping them stay informed about relevant legal developments.
  • Contract Review and Drafting : Assist in reviewing and drafting contracts, including vendor agreements, distribution agreements, and contracts with service providers. Work closely with the legal team to ensure contracts comply with legal requirements and protect the company's interests.
  • Compliance Assistance: Monitor changes in laws and regulations to ensure the company remains in compliance. Assist in developing and maintaining compliance programs to mitigate legal risks associated with product development, marketing, and distribution.
  • Intellectual Property Support: Assist in managing the company's intellectual property portfolio, including trademarks and patents. Assist with searches to assess the availability of trademarks and assist in filing trademark applications.
  • Litigation Support: Assist in the preparation of legal documents for litigation matters, including discovery requests and responses. Review and organize documents related to legal proceedings.
  • Contract Management: Help maintain an organized system for storing and managing contracts. Track contract expiration dates and renewal requirements to ensure ongoing compliance.
  • Policy Development: Collaborate with the legal team to develop and update internal policies to ensure legal compliance and risk mitigation.
  • Communication and Coordination: Communicate with internal departments to gather information and provide legal support. Coordinate with external legal counsel as needed.
  • Training and Awareness: Assist in developing and delivering training sessions to employees on legal and compliance matters.
  • Administrative Support: Provide administrative support to the legal team, including organizing files, maintaining legal databases, and managing correspondence.
  • Attend Meetings and Hearings : Attend meetings, hearings, or other legal proceedings as needed, providing support to the legal team.
