About The Position

The Registrar of Contractors (ROC) Legal Department manages approximately 1200 legal actions annually across Arizona. This dynamic unit handles cases for the Office of Administrative Hearings, conducts felony background checks for license applicants, processes requests for payouts from the Recovery Fund, and offers legal guidance to all ROC departments. The work within the Legal Department is diverse, engaging, and crucial to the agency's mission. This critical position is an integral part of the legal team and is an entry-level role with opportunities for promotion throughout the agency. All interested applicants are encouraged to apply.

  • Candidates for this position will be required to submit to a criminal history investigation.

Responsibilities

  • Significant time responding to customer service inquiries over the phone, in person, and by email.
  • Prepare and issue correspondence and notices.
  • Prepare files for inter-agency electronic transmission.
  • Data-entry, calendaring, filing, scanning and other office/clerical duties.
  • Assist with projects assigned by the Legal Department Management.
