Legal Counsel US Commercial (Sports Medicine)

Smith+Nephew is seeking US Commercial Counsel to lead contract development and process improvements to add value to the enterprise and support a high performing culture. What will you be doing? Provision of legal advice, support and contracting services to US business units and functional teams with a focus on healthcare compliance, customer contract drafting/review and negotiation Identify, manage and mitigate legal risk and opportunity in business activities within commercial projects - development of contract templates, playbooks and implementation of systems to support new healthcare/medtech product offerings and services End to end contracting process development, management and continuous improvement for 1099s, Healthcare Systems, GPO/IDNs, Customer RFPs, rebate/pricing/consignment agreements and cross divisional arrangements Development, automation and implementation of contracts and playbooks within US Commercial, including use of AI solutions (as applicable) Legal support to functional teams (Finance, HR, Procurement, Quality, Regulatory Affairs, Tax, Corporate, Compliance etc) as required Supporting on M&A and integrations as required Providing support for legal strategy, training, contract template development, key projects and initiatives as directed by the US Commercial Legal team Such other projects as may be delegated by Senior Director Commercial Legal
Requirements
- JD/bachelor's degree from a well-respected institution
- Licensed with 5+ years of experience in a law firm/in house
- Fluent in written and spoken English

- Life sciences and broad commercial transactional experience preferred
- Would suit a candidate who is seeking a high degree of responsibility and development of client base/practice
Responsibilities
