About The Position

This role sits at the intersection of law, digital media, and advertising, supporting high-volume commercial activity across the US and Canada. You will act as a trusted legal partner to business, sales, and production teams, advising on complex commercial arrangements in a fast-paced, digital-first environment. The position offers broad exposure to content production, advertising, and technology-driven services, with the opportunity to influence how contracts and processes scale globally. You will operate with a high level of autonomy while collaborating with international legal counterparts. This role is ideal for a commercially minded attorney who values clarity, pragmatism, and impact. Your work will directly support business growth while managing legal and commercial risk.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience advising on commercial transactions in a corporate or in-house legal environment
  • Demonstrated experience in digital advertising, media, content, or AdTech-related industries
  • Strong knowledge of commercial, contract, and digital content law
  • Licensed attorney in good standing in your state of residence, or ability to obtain in-house counsel registration within required timeframes
  • Excellent drafting, negotiation, and risk assessment skills with strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, and manage competing priorities
  • Clear and effective written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to translate legal concepts for non-lawyers
  • Comfort working cross-functionally with global teams in a rapidly evolving business environment
  • Curiosity, adaptability, and a proactive mindset toward improving legal processes and support

Responsibilities

  • Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements, including MSAs, SOWs, content, vendor, influencer, amendment, and NDA agreements
  • Lead and support contract negotiations with clients and internal stakeholders, ensuring alignment with commercial objectives and internal policies
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate legal and commercial risks associated with contractual terms
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for internal and external contract-related inquiries
  • Partner with global legal colleagues to develop scalable contract policies, templates, and commercial strategies
  • Provide practical, business-oriented legal guidance to sales, marketing, production, and operations teams
  • Deliver internal training on commercial and legal processes to non-legal stakeholders
  • Support post-merger integration initiatives related to commercial processes and workflows
  • Stay current on relevant commercial, IP, privacy, advertising, and employment law developments impacting the business
